We are a growing multi-discipline professional engineering firm located in Williamsville, New York. We are in need of a welding engineer with a M.S. or B.S. in engineering or materials science and three or more years’ experience as a welding engineer. The qualified individual will help resolve manufacturing and field issues, direct procedure qualifications record and weld procedure specification tests, manage weld test related programs, conduct metallurgical and welding lab work and participate in quality improvement and cost reduction efforts.

Familiar with low alloy steels and stainless steels
Experience in developing and upgrading Stick, GMAW, GTAW, and Submerged Arc welding procedures to be used by production personnel
Able to perform root cause analysis of welding problems and provide corrective actions
Familiarity with commercial welding equipment produced by major manufactures
Fluent in Microsoft Office
Ability to clearly and precisely communicate, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization and with clients
Self motivated, well organized and able to prioritize work

Need experience in welding or fabrication of machinery, pressure vessels, piping and knowledge of ASME code.

Prior experience at Pfaudler, Sybron, Struthers-Wells, BOC Edwards, IMA Life, Air Products, United Silicone, BOC Process Gases, Praxair, Air-Liquide, Cooper Turbomachinery, Cameron Compression, G.E. Turbines, G.E. Locomotives, Corning, Inc. Cummins Engines, Firestone, B.F. Goodrich, Michelin, St. Gobain, Harper International, Olin Chemical, Occidental Chemical, E.I. DuPont, Niacet Chemical, Lurgi, BASCO, Kerr-McGee Corporation or any similar company is a plus.

Must currently reside within 200 miles of Buffalo, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH or Schenectady, NY.
